Requests for appointments for Visa application and inquiries regarding applications in progress can be addressed to the Visa Office of the Embassy, in the form of writing, through the following means:

Phone: due to the huge number of applications to be processed, the Visa Office will provide, only in cases of absolute necessity and exclusively on Monday and Wednesday from 2.00 to 5.00 pm, information through the following trunk line: 8924531 (ext.16, 19 and 30).

SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED BY THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS TO FILIPINO AND PALAUAN STUDENTS AND GRADUATES  

For the academic year 2010-2011, the General Directorate for Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is offering 16 monthly allowances of € 700 each as study grants to Filipino citizens and 9 monthly allowances of € 700 each as study grants to Palauan citizens. The age limit is 18-35 years old. However, this age limit does not apply to applicants who are Italian language teachers and are actively engaged in teaching Italian. Knowledge of the Italian language is a prerequisite of basic importance and must be certified or ascertained in an interview at the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Italy or at the Italian studies Department of the applicant’s university. Presentation and expiration of Application: After registering at http://borseonline.esteri.it/borseonline/it/index.asp, applicants will be able to access a multilingual on-line application form. After specifying language, country of nationality and whether the application is new or a renewal, the applicant then fills out the form; a draft can be saved and changed up until its final submission. If necessary, applicants can request help filling out the form at the Embassy of Italy. From the academic year 2010-2011, the on-line application must be completed by uploading a digital image of the passport showing the applicant’s photo. On-line forms must be submitted between the 22nd February and the 31st March 2010.  No need to send hard copy of application and document to the Embassy of Italy!
