ICoN - Italian Culture on the Net - is a Consortium composed of 19 Italian Universities operating in agreement with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that was created in 1999 under the patronage of the President of the Chamber of Deputies and with the support of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Universities. ICoN's goal is to promote and spread the Italian language and culture in the world through information and communication technologies and specific education initiatives.
The Embassy of Italy is a member of the ICoN Consortium and it is also the testing center for all ICoN examinations.
